IKING arc threaded weld studs comply with ISO13918 standard. Available in FD MD PD RD types for arc stud welding. Made of carbon steel or stainless steel. Require ceramic ferrules during welding. Widely used for steel structure, cabinet and mechanical assembly connections.
IKING Full Thread Arc Weld Stud also known as FD fully‑threaded stud, strictly manufactured in accordance with ISO13918 international standard for arc stud welding. This arc threaded weld stud features complete full external thread from near the welding tip to the top end. It adopts special taper ignition tip design for reliable arc starting during arc stud welding process. Ceramic ferrules are required to stabilize welding arc and protect molten weld pool while performing installation.
Our full thread arc weld studs are available in carbon steel and stainless steel material options. Carbon steel versions deliver high tensile strength and cost‑effective performance for general industrial applications. Stainless steel variants provide excellent rust resistance for outdoor, humid and corrosive working environments. Every batch undergoes dimensional inspection and mechanical property test to guarantee consistent welding performance and connection reliability. After welding onto base metal surface, full intact external thread is reserved for nut assembly, enabling fast and firm component mounting. This weld fastener eliminates traditional drilling and tapping operations, greatly improving site assembly efficiency for steel structures and equipment cabinets.

Full thread arc weld studs are widely applied across multiple industrial sectors. In steel structure engineering, they are used for fixing auxiliary brackets, mounting accessories on steel beams and steel columns. For electrical control cabinets and chassis cabinets, these weld studs are welded on sheet metal for internal part fixation without pre‑drilling holes. Heavy machinery and mechanical equipment factories adopt them to assemble protective covers, mounting bases and auxiliary fixtures.
They are also popular for container manufacturing, highway facility accessories, elevator component assembly and vehicle chassis auxiliary fixing. Stainless steel full thread arc weld studs fit marine equipment, outdoor engineering and chemical workshop projects where anti‑corrosion performance is demanded. After stud welding, complete thread allows customers to install nuts to lock various parts conveniently, realizing high‑strength detachable connection.

We support standard items mass supply as well as custom non‑standard weld stud development according to client drawings. Our products are exported to many overseas markets, serving industrial distributors, equipment manufacturers and steel‑structure contractors. We provide one‑stop solution including weld studs, matching ceramic ferrules and related technical support for global buyers.
Q1: Do I need ceramic ferrules for full thread arc weld stud welding?
A: Yes. FD full thread arc weld stud belongs to arc stud welding series. Matching ceramic ferrule is necessary to stabilize arc, prevent molten metal splashing and form qualified weld collar.
Q2: What base metal can these full thread weld studs weld onto?
A: They can be welded on carbon steel plate, stainless steel plate. Base material shall have sufficient thickness to complete arc stud welding process.
Q3: Can you provide custom length or special surface treatment?
A: Yes. We accept custom length within reasonable range. Zinc plating and other surface treatments can be offered based on your requirements.
Q4: What is the difference between FD full thread stud and MD PD arc weld stud?
A: FD keeps full thread along the whole stud shank. MD has short unthreaded section nearby welding tip. PD owns long smooth unthreaded shank at lower part. Select correct type according to your assembly demands.
Q5: Are samples available for quality testing?
A: We can supply small quantity samples for your welding test and quality evaluation before bulk order.
